MS. JANE'S STORY
My name is Jane and I have lived in 380-Area since January 2003. I am a graduate of Texas A&M and a mother of 3 children. I created MJSS because I was discouraged taking my children to the local HOA pools and seeing how many people had little to no experience swimming. A lot of kids go from puddle-jumpers to walking in shallow pools and their muscle memory is vertical in water rather than horizontal, which is very dangerous. I hoped to focus on the needs of the Highway 380-corridor without the inconvenience of the traffic.
My personal belief is that a lot of swim lesson programs have false indicators of success and it does not translate into Competitive or Endurance Swimming. Learning to do any physical activity, and to do it well, is not just a 2 week relationship but years of commitment and practice.
We focus on teaching kids breathing techniques, proper position, kicking and techniques.
We only operate in the summer while a lot of our competitors are trying to prolong the experience to keep the lights on!
Our hope is to try to teach your kids what they would normally learn in months in other programs, some of the shortcuts to leveling up! This program is a sort of cheat sheet and some clients even use both programs throughout the year to build proficient swimmers!
My Background:

Swimming is a passion of mine and really hope that all kids grow to love this as a sport. As a mother, I understand what fears, hesitations, and aspirations you may have for your child around large bodies of water! In my freetime I enjoy traveling, swimming, Crossfit, crafting, watching the Dallas Mavericks, Rangers & Cowboys, and Fighting Texas Aggie Football, volunteering in the community, painting on canvas, home improvement projects, and most of all...time with my family!
