Progression Levels
The benefit of this organization is they offer the same training and certifications materials as Olympic, high school, collegiate and USA Swimming Coaches. The approach is vastly different than that of the Red Cross with the additional benefit of the knowledge and wisdom passed down from successful coaches who progress children from basic LEARN-TO-SWIM participants to dedicated athletes. Ms. Jane learned to teach swimming lessons through the Swim America program and has Coached hundreds of kids to successful progress through these stages. In addition to Swim America rubric, Ms. Jane, as a mother and parent has developed her own special approaches that she trains her employees.
ABOUT 80% OF OUR CLIENTELE IS LOOKING FOR SWIM AMERICA LEVELS 1-4. THEY WANT THEIR CHILDREN TO LEARN TO SWIM SAFELY IN NEIGHBORHOOD POOLS SO WE HAVE SOME INTERNAL TRANSLATIONS OF THESE LEVELS THAT OUR PROGRAM USES. WE GENERALLY CATEGORIZE THEM AS: PARENT & CHILD, TODDLER, B1 (BEGINNER I), B2 (BEGINNER 2), B2I (BEGINNER TO INTERMEDIATE TRANSITION) AND INTERMEDIATE. SWIM AMERICA LEVELS 5-10 WE WILL INTRODUCE THE PRE-SWIM TEAM CONCEPTS AND TEACH IN "ADVANCED" COURSES. CHECK-OUT THE PRE-SWIM TEAM TAB ON THIS SITE.

Believe us this is par for the course for this age. Never feel guilty if this happens to you. Just keep coming and help your child develop relationships or bring their favorite toys or imagine new games with their Coaches. Sometimes we can move you and your child to a Parent and Child class and then re-transition them after 2 weeks when they begin to recognize us. Don't give up! We know its successful and every minute feels like hours! They will come around. We try to balance some days where we push them and then throttle back a few days until a level of trust is built.
