Ms. Jane's Swim School is a SwimAmerica Program
As a SwimAmerica Coach you will focus on teaching the fundamentals teaching kids to swim. You may teach all levels of the building block process with the goal of eventually moving the young swimmers towards swimming as a sport.
Key Responsibilities:

Instructs/assists swimming classes

Administers periodic tests and recommends reassignments as necessary

Performs simple record keeping tasks including the completion and issuance of certificates to participants at the completion of courses

Ability to get along with customers, co-workers, and supervisors

Communicates in a prompt manner to supervisor when appropriate

Exhibits great customer service to participants and patrons

Promotes aquatic programming through communication to participants and patrons

Regular and punctual attendance

Attend ALL MANDATORY SwimAmerica CERTIFICATION training** Ms. Jane's Swim School assumes the cost of your certification so no compensation will be issued during training classes.

Conditions of Employment:

Must pass criminal history background check, and social security number verification check

Must be able to work the entire season; morning, evening, and/or Saturday hours may be required

Must be able to work complete sessions (substitution only allowed with proof of an emergency)
Minimum Qualifications
-
Must be at least 16 years old

Ability to communicate effectively in an instructional situation with children and parents

Be able to complete American Red Cross CPR-Professional Rescuer and First Aid certification (or can obtain one on their own and produce a copy to the supervisor within one month of employment)

Servicing Highway 380 communities from Aubrey, Providence Village, Little Elm, Frisco, Prosper, Celina, Cross Roads.
Hours of Service

Most classes are Mondays through Thursdays with Fridays as make-up Days. Most work availability will be in the mornings at Providence Main Pool from 8:15am - 9:45am, and then drive to other HOA communities for classes that begin 10:30/11:00am-12:30pm. And again in the evenings 3:30pm-9pm. Most of our clients sign up for the Providence classes and evening shifts. Our instructors will be needed most during those times. Afternoon scheduling is not as popular with clientele. Training begins in late April/early May on the weekends. Classes begin the day after Memorial day and conclude by mid-late July.
